Most paper doll fans should be able to print these directly from their browsers (well, at least from MS Internet Explorer). Under the "file" menu, click on "print preview" to make sure each page actually does fit on one 8-1/2 X 11-inch sheet of paper (it should). Otherwise, the best way I know to print out the paper dolls you want is to place the cursor over the doll or page of clothing and click the button on the right side of the mouse. You will see a pop-up menu that will allow you to save the item in another program (such as a photo-editing or paint-type program) already on your computer. Then, after the paper dolls have been saved to a file, you can print them while off-line. I have made each doll alone on a page so he/she can be printed on card stock, if desired. Also, I have tried to arrange several items on each clothing page when possible for more economical use of paper. Personally, I prefer to print out the dolls themselves on card stock and cover them with a piece of clear laminating film before cutting them out. This adds to their durability and "playability." Or print the doll on regular printer paper and, BEFORE cutting it out, glue to lightweight cardboard (cereal boxes are good for this) by smearing/spreading thin white craft glue with your finger on the back of the doll. Smooth the doll onto the cardboard and place a heavy object (such as a big book or cast-iron pan) on top while the paperdoll dries. When dry, cover with laminating material and THEN cut it out. This makes a very sturdy paperdoll. Enjoy! |
